Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (Osler's disease) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by telangiectasia of the mucous membranes, skin, and virtually every organ. Liver involvement includes angiodysplasias, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and even hepatocellular carcinoma. 'z2
We present the sonographic findings in the liver of a patient who had previously undetected Osler's disease. The diagnosis was suggested sonographically and proved by angiography. The sonographic findings in cases with liver involvement have been described in only a few instance^.^
π SIMILAR VOLUMES
A 26-year-old woman with no significant history was found to have a fetus with hepatosplenomegaly and neurological abnormalities in utero on ultrasound. The baby was found to have a severe clinical manifestation of type 2 Gaucher's disease.
Thirty simple adnexal cysts in postmenopausal women detected by sonography were followed prospectively. The cysts were totally anechoic or with at most two septations. Size varied from 2 cm to 8 cm, but one was as large as 17 cm. Only seven were discovered at the pelvic examination prior to the scan
