✦ Synopsis

In this study, oscillatory phenomena in He II during noisy film boiling are studied by the aid of temperature and pressure oscillations measurements. Temperature oscillation in He II is measured by a superconductor temperature sensor, and pressure oscillation by a pressure sensor. A strong correlation between temperature and pressure oscillations is found.

The existence of a persistent current in a saturated He ll film which is adsorbed on the walls of a container of typical dimensions 1 cm is demonstrated. The persistent current is produced by rotation and detected by measuring the critical film flow rate.
