✦ Synopsis

A system of equations describing the motion of multicomponent mixtures in a porous medium, taking into account the phenomena of competing adsorption is formulated within the framework of a kinetic approach to the study of sorption processes. An equation of sorption kinetics, which describes a series of oscillatory modes for certain values of the original parameters, is suggested. A numerical analysis of the stability is carried out for the corresponding dynamical system. A qualitative comparison of the results of calculations and experimental data is given.
