It is relevant to study the mechanics of oscillatory flow of a viscous fluid in curved elastic tubes, as a step toward understanding the flow of blood at curvature sites in the major arteries. A numerical analysis is carried out for oscillatory flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through thin-walled elastic tubes with small curvature. Parameters in the computation are chosen to correspond to physiological flows at arterial sites of small curvature.
