In this paper, orthogonal designs of parallel ats type are generated for 3 m and mixed 2 n × 3 m factorial experiments, where factor e ects include the general mean, main e ects, and certain classes of two-factor interactions. The applications of mixed factorial designs in the PCR process of DNA identiÿcation and drug interactions in clinical studies are also discussed. This work will be useful for applied statisticians to implement optimal designs in practice.
