✦ Synopsis

Lattice parameters and magnetization measurements have been made on R(Rh,_,Ru,),B, (R= La, Sm, Cd). The present results along with those for R = Ce indicate that Ru substitution for Rh decreases the lattice parameters c and increases the lattice parameters a drastically in the range x < 0.2. Furthermore, this change of lattice parameters is found to be reflected strongly in the x dependence of the Curie temperature of R( Rh I )I Ru,),B: (R = Ce, Sm, Gd), suggesting that 4f-4d mixing is important in these ternary series of rare earth compounds.
