## Abstract In this work we attempt to bridge the gap between heterotic orbifold models and CalabiβYau compactifications using gauged linear sigma models (GLSMs) with (2,0) worldsheet supersymmetry. We associate a specific GLSM to a heterotic orbifold model with twisted states that have nonβvanishi

Abstract
We study Bβtype parities in the framework of the linear sigma model. Geometrically, Bβtype parities correspond to parity reversal combined with a holomorphic involution. The linear sigma model provides a framework to investigate such orientifolds away from the geometric regime.
