Abstract
The methods of Margules and Normand for investigation of the problem of storage and transformation of energy in the atmosphere are briefly described. Through discussion of an example of Margules it is shown that consideration must be given to the manner in which the kinetic energy, created in the process of energy transformation, is organized. In particular it is shown that dynamic factors severely limit the quantity of thermodynamic energy which can be released in the atmosphere.
