✦ Synopsis

It is shown that thc KINNEAR-PERREN reaction with ClCH,CH,Cl, PCl,, and A1C1, produces thc two possible isomers ClCH2CH,P(0)Cl, and CH,CHClP(O)CI,. Methods for thc prrparation of pure ClCH,CH,P(O)CI, and pure CH,CHClP(O)Cl, are described. The physical prctperties of a number of chloroethyl groups containing phosphorus compounds are listed.
