The final chapter on experimental methods will probably be quite useful to the experimentalist. It may be of equal value to the theorist who wishm to understand what the experimentalist cl&m to have measured.

The illustrations are well chosen and well drawn and there me remarkably few errors in a book containing so many formulas. It is ~clear that both author and publisher devoted much effort and care to its production.
