Explicit and implicit numerical methods for solving simple traffic flow continuum models have been studied and efficiently implemented in traflic simulation codes. We studied and implemented explicit and implicit numerical methods for solving high-order flow conservation trallic models. The accelera

β¦ Synopsis
In this paper, we use a two-lane CA traffic model to simulate the multi-way traffic flow. A kind of control signal that can be considered as a perturbation is designated at a given site (i.e., signal point) of the right lane. Under the effect of control signal, the velocity of vehicle passing the signal point will be disturbed. Our aim is to investigate the traffic dynamics that is about the dynamical transition from disorder to order. We test this technique for the two-lane traffic model that is based on the deterministic NaSch traffic model. The simulation results indicate that the traffic system can be transited from disorder to order. Different order states can be observed in system, such as fixed-point and periodic motion, and these states are safer.
