✦ Synopsis

He was a scientist of international reputation, known mainly for his numerous papers on the mechanism of electrode processes and on the physical chemistry of fused salts. From 1950 to 1956 he was National Secretary of CITCE for Canada and in 1961 organized, in collaboration with DR. CoI-mN, the CITCE symposiums on electrode kinetics and on the electrochemistry of fused salts which were held within the framework of the Congress of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in Montreal. The most untimely death of PROF. WETMORE is a great loss for his many friends around the world.
