✦ Synopsis

This course will present the current challenges and advances in immunosuppressive therapy in the field of liver transplantation. It will focus on three separate areas: i.Overview of current issues in maintenance and induction therapy.

ii.Immunosuppression tailored to specific diseases, including immune-mediated problems, chronic kidney disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, and HCV, and specific populations, including pediatric and HIV+ recipients as well as those with multiple infections, metabolic complications, and de novo cancer.

iii.Emerging issues, including advances in drug/genomic monitoring, biologic agents, and the potential for immunosuppression withdrawal.
