โฆ Synopsis
The fibre reinforced formulation in non-staining white or high-purity graphite forms a homogenous sealing mass. In operation, the sealant clings to the shaft or sleeve on the inside diameter, and to the stuffing box wall on the outside diameter. The sealant is designed to experience Internal Laminar Shear, so that relative rotation takes place within the sealant, not against the rotating member. Equipment is protected from the aggressive fretting common with conventional packings.
CMS-2000 is provided in stick and bulk form for initial stuffing box loading and in cartrdges for final sealing under pressure to eliminate voids. Cartridges are then used for all subsequent resealing. Operating parameters are up to 400ยฐF, and 2000 fpm.

## Dynamic sealing No oil seals are required and there is no need to empty out the oil from the transformer when disconnecting for routine maintenance and inspection. It also becomes possible to carry out a capacitance check on the connector while it is live on the transformer.
