✦ Synopsis

In this paper we implement an algorithm allowing to find the optimal solution of a computer task, that can be solved using a specified set of tools. The tracking and evolution of partial results are achieved by an optimal control problem for the Discrete Event System (DES) associated to the task. This optimal DES can be computed using a minimum principle similar to Pontryagin's minimum principle. The problem solving is supervised by an intelligent software capable of evaluation and decision making.
