✦ Synopsis

Optical spectra (1 to 6 eV) of the neutral electron donor-acceptor complex TMPD-CA have been obtained in different solvents includins polar ones such as acetonitie_ The optical spectra. the dielectric constant and the ESR absorption have been studied in detail as a function of temperature, in the range 185 to 298 I; for the mi\ed solvent diethrlether-2-propaol (3 : I)_ Results ace discussed in terms of the displacement of the equiliirium at low temperatures ;Ird of environmental effects on the energy of the charge transfer transition.
