## Abstract The graft copolymer chitosan‐g‐poly(vinyl alcohol), with nontoxicity, biodegradability, and biocompatibility, was prepared by a novel method. The copolymer with porous net structure was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It is a potential method to combine chitosan with the
