โฆ Synopsis
either in analog form or by a discrete approximation of the analog schemes. The optimization of discrete schemes and some of the practical questions which arise in the implementation of these discrete schemes are considered in the next three chapters. Some practical examples in which variable data-processing schemes are required are discussed in Chap. 9.
Next a short but very readable presentation of the measurement of power spectra is given. This material is almost entirely a rearrangement and condensation of Measurement of Power Spectra from the Point of View of Communication Engineering by Bla ckman and Tukey (Dover, 1960).
In conclusion, this book will prove quite valuable to the practicing engineer and to anyone concerned with the implementation of data-processing schemes.
