A cw dye laser circular dichroism (CD)/absorption apparatus is described and applied to the measurement of an optically active rare earth-organic ligand single crystal. The Nd3+ tris(diglycolate) complex in the Na3[Nd(C4H405)3] .2NaC104.6Hz0 crystal has been investigated from 12 to 300 K. Absorption
