Abstract

The optical absorption study on the effect of solid dilution on tutton salts has been extended to the case of copper ammonium sulphate single crystals diluted with magnesium ammonium sulphate, and the change of crystal field symmetry from tetragonal to rhombic, on dilution, has been established.
