✦ Synopsis

One stage reconstruction of the mandible and lower third of the face with pectoralis major osteomyocutaneous flap incorporating the rib on a muscular pedicle in oral cancer case is described. The composite tissue provides the exact replacement of lost tissues. The technique described replaces adequate mucosa, soft tissue, and bone with minimum functional loss at the donor site. Two ends of the refashioned rib were anchored to masseteric muscle mass and zygoma. This has established functional rehabilitation of chewing, swallowing, and speech in a short period.
