Fight, Die Rinse, Repeat
When Pax is riding the SubTerr home from work, he has no idea that his lifethe first of many brutally short ones to comeis about to take a turn for the very worst.
Kidnapped by an alien race, hes forced to join in a vicious game involving hundreds of other peoples coming from all over the galaxy. His objective: to entertain the audience in futuristic gladiator matches where anything goes, and the only certitude is death and the possibility to pick new skills and gear to try and last a little longer with your next life.
The arena that has become his new home is comprised of 10 Floors, and one needs to earn enough experiencebattling it outto level up and gain access to each subsequent platform. Still, as hell soon discover, the only true way out of this place is to take your own life, to commit suicide. Thats what happens to those who have lost all hope and have fallen to the Despairing.
Pax struggles to come to grips with his new reality, but what can he really do? Thrust into this living nightmare, he will have to find a way to move up the ranks before he too loses his sanity. The only problem is that hes always been more brains than brawn. A programmer by day and white-hat hacker by night, he will have to use his peculiar skills to stay ahead of the psychopaths inside the game and achieve what no one has before him: escape the prison hell hes been thrown into!
