✦ Synopsis
A s part of a portfolio of special- ity silicones developed for the rapidly growing solar-power industry, Momentive Performance Materials Inc has introduced a one-component silicone. Called TSE3822, it is ideal for frame sealing polycrystalline modules, says the firm.
Exhibited at SNEC 2011 International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition, which was held recently in Shanghai, China, TSE3822 can typically provide strong yet primer-less adhesion to a wide range of photovoltaic substrates, including aluminium, plastics and glass.
Other speciality products in Momentive Performance Materials' portfolio for solar-power applications are typically used for frame sealing, junction-box potting and bonding, and PV module encapsulation, as well as concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) technology.
