Glucocorticoids exert pleiotropic effects, among which negative regulation of transcription has been recognized as of crucial importance. While glucocorticoids induce phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) gene expression in liver cells, it represses gene activity in adipose cells. We used the 3T
