β¦ Synopsis
In this note we are concerned with the linear theory of the thermodynamics of dielectric materials in the presence of memory e!ects for heat #ux. Restrictions imposed on the assumed constitutive equations by Thermodynamics are "rst determined. Then, we introduce a particular maximal free energy, that allows us to arrive at a domain of dependence. Finally, we con"ne our attention to a unidimensional model, for which a uniqueness, existence, and asymptotic stability theorem is proved.

more inert, large glass spheres should be underestimated. However, as shown in Fig. , this is not the case. Thus, even under these conditions, the determination seems to be representative. As a consequence, it is possible to investigate the shape of the distribution in the detectable range. In the
The Nyquist robust stability margin k , is proposed as a new tool for analysing the robustness of uncertain systems. The analysis is done using Nyquist arguments involving eigenvalues instead of singular values, and yields exact necessary and sufficient conditions for robust stability. The concept o
In this paper we study the asymptotic behavior of the stability radius of a singularly perturbed system when the small parameter tends to zero. It is proved that for such systems the stability radius tends to the min(r , r ), where r is the inverse of the H -norm of the reduced slow model and r is t
