✦ Synopsis
We use the action of an Artin group on its associated Deligne complex (as defined by Charney and Davis) to give information about the Σ-invariants of Artin groups. This gives a nearly complete description of the finiteness properties of normal subgroups above the commutator subgroup of an Artin group.
