✦ Synopsis
In organic chemistry, phosphaalkynes are very good synthons for a broad variety of cycloaddition reactions [5]. Accordingly. they have been used for the synthesis of small-to medium-sized heterocycles. Due to the presence ofboth a PC triple bond and a phosphorus lone pair. phosphaalkynes are also very good partners for a wide variety of transition metals and this has allowed for the synthesis of numerous phosphaalkyne oligomers [6).
Several functionalized phosphaalkynes B-F featuring a lithoxy [7]. amino [8]. silyl [9]. sulfanide [10] and phosphonio [Ill group at the carbon atom, have been prepared (schmzt 1).
