โฆ Synopsis
It is shown that fitness landscapes for constrained optimization problems are statistically anisotropic. Consequently, conducting a single, long random walk to estimate correlation in the landscape can produce incorrect results. We argue that more accurate estimates can be obtained by forming a composite picture from a set of confined random walks.

In other cases the correlation involves an implicit intercept value and a regression coefficient that may significantly modi
