โœฆ Synopsis

Gas particulate boundary layer equations have been integrated numerically with and without the use of compatibility conditions. It is found that in both the cases, surface particulate velocity remains the same and varies linearly with the longitudinal distance '~' on the plate. Without compatibility conditions, particulate density across a section of the boundary layer decreases monotonically from its surface value to its free stream value while with compatibility conditions, particulate density inside the boundary layer decreases from its surface value to much below its free stream value and then increases to attain the edge conditions. Other flow variables such as u, up and surface characteristic Cf differ slightly in magnitude in the two cases. Graphs are drawn to show the effect of the changes in the governing parameter on the flow characteristics.
