Chinese abstracts 139 Furthermore, we have proved that the null space of the linear operator of Piola-Kirchhoff stress history functional is the direct sum of the null space of linear operators for 6-D vector subspace N, and N,. Here we can naturally classify the fracture of isotropic material with memory into two types. The fracture is said to be normal and shear fracture, respectively, when N, = 0 and N, = 0. Hence the fracture criterion with respect to deformation is the condition on deformation gradient history that the functional of history of relative right Cauchy-Green tensor and present left Cauchy-Green tensor is singular, and the fracture stretching is a non-zero element on 6-D vector space of the null space of this functional.
