โฆ Synopsis
The temperature dependence of the nuclear response function is studied with the random phase approximation. It is found that the strength distributions are rather stable for temperatures up to about 3 MeV. Thermal excitations do affect, however, the low-energy regions of the nuclear spectrum.

Photoabsorption cross sections were measured for Na,+ , n=9,21, and 41 at two temperatures, a low one at T= 130 K, and a high one with T> 300 K. A large, unexpected temperature effect is observed. The single, broad peaks observed at high temperature become narrower at 130 K for n = 2 1 and 4 1. For
## Abstract The high temperature ^13^C NMR spectra of the methyl esters of deuteroporphyrinโIX and protoporphyrinโIX, and octaethylporphyrin show sharp discrete signals for the inner macrocycle carbon resonances. The temperature dependence of these shifts is discussed.
