Direct measurement of concrete creep deformation is impossible. Deformations obtained in creep tests represent the combined effect o[ creep and shrinkage together. On the basis of investigations on insulated and non-hTsulated concrete samples the authors show that algebraic superposition o[ creep and shrinkage

deformations under compression cannot be used. In case o J tensile stresses, the mechanism differs from that in compression. This fact proces that the problem of concrete creep under tension is not yet soh,ed.
