## Abstract Synthetic calcium‐deficient apatites (CDA) are structurally similar to biological apatites and are well known as chemical precursors of biphasic calcium phosphates (BCP). BCP are mixtures of hydroxyapatite and β‐tricalcium phosphate and are widely used as bone substitutes in human surge
