A three-body model involving non-local interactions is developed in configuration space. It is based on a hyperspherical-harmonics expansion and the Lagrange-mesh method. The 6 ΞΞ He and 9 Ξ Be hypernuclei are studied as three-body Ξ±ΞΞ and Ξ±Ξ±Ξ systems. Recently proposed quark-model based ΞN and ΞΞ i
