โœฆ Synopsis

In his book "Structural Diagrams" (1958 Academy of Sciences of the U.S.S.R.) Vistelius proposes a scheme for the statistical analysis of fabric diagrams. The scheme is critically examined in this paper and found to be statistically invalid, largely due to a misunderstanding of the nature of the pole distribution in random diagrams.

'Unfortunately Flinn (1958) used the word "Uniform" as a synonym for regular or systematic whenas in statistical literature it is used as a synonym for "random". In this paper "uniform" is used in its correct statistical sense.

This paper concerns the statistical analysis of certain binary data arising in molecular studies of cancer. In allelic-loss experiments, tumour cell genomes are analysed at informative molecular marker loci to identify deleted chromosomal regions. The resulting binary data are used to infer properti

The computerized brain atlas (CBA) and statistical parametric mapping (SPM) are two procedures for voxel-based statistical evaluation of PET activation studies. Each includes spatial standardization of image volumes, computation of a statistic, and evaluation of its significance. In addition, smooth
