✦ Synopsis

Three electronic transitions in the singlet manifold of the zirconium sulphide (ZrS) molecule have been rotationally analyzed. They are the B 1 ⌸-X 1 ⌺ Ο© , C 1 ⌺ Ο© -X 1 ⌺ Ο© , and E 1 ⌺ Ο© -X 1 ⌺ Ο© systems with (0,0) band heads at 924.60, 731.51, and 494.47 nm, respectively. The ground state X 1 ⌺ Ο© has an equilibrium bond distance of 2.15661(4) Γ…. Perturbations in the B 1 ⌸ and C 1 ⌺ Ο© states are discussed.
