โœฆ Synopsis

A parametric analysis of the mathematical model of a fluidized bed combustor has been performed. Based on available experimental measurements estimates of the number of transfer units as well as of the abrasion constant Ko have been obtained applying nonlinear regression. Although good fitting of the experimental results could be achieved, the parameter estimates were highly correlated and of low precision, probably due to the specific experimental region investigated.

For the conditions analyzed in the present article the model of Rajah and Wen more closely follows the experimental trends. However, some d

A model of coal combustion dynamics in a fluidized bed is developed in this study. The model is carried out on the premise that the total combustion response can be decomposed into two distinct processes: volatile combustion and char combustion. In this investigation, combustion dynamics are examine
