A parametric analysis of the mathematical model of a fluidized bed combustor has been performed. Based on available experimental measurements estimates of the number of transfer units as well as of the abrasion constant Ko have been obtained applying nonlinear regression. Although good fitting of the experimental results could be achieved, the parameter estimates were highly correlated and of low precision, probably due to the specific experimental region investigated.
