✦ Synopsis

The properties of the hysteresis machine are analyzed on the basis of a cylindrical model. The electromagneticjeld in the various reyions of the motor is derived by field-theoretical methods (such as Maxwell's equations and Poynting's theorem), and the resulting parameters are applied in turn in determining torques and other relevant quantities. Three limiting particular cases of special interest are examined.

## Abstract Thermal phenomena arising in some electric motors are described (physical model) and an adequate mathematical model is constructed. The model, in the form of a contact problem, is then approximated in a numerical way. The stability of the difference scheme obtained is investigated.

A novel and easily processed conductive polymer was prepared from poly(viny1 alcohol)(PVA). Metal chelate onto PVA film exhibited excellent surface resistivity around 1 0 ' -1 0 ' O / c d when it was treated with reducing agents. The surface of these films was treated with reducing agents which poss
