✦ Synopsis
The various plasmon dispersions in the long-wavelength limit are calculated from the dielectric functions for systems containing a finite number of CU02 layers and Cu-o chains. The role of chains is found two folds: first, generate more acoustic plasmons in each CU02 layer including chains themselves. Second, if acoustic plasmons in chains are damped out, the exact acoustic plasmons of the coupled double CU02 layers will reappear in certain (q2,ii) domain. Thus YBa2CUS07-x systems having high T c would be due to strengthening the electron (or hole) plasmon coupling on Cu02layers through interacting with chains.
