✦ Synopsis
The relative yields of ionic photodissociation of some peak EDA complexes u-ere measured with N2 g,as laser photolysis_ The chemical property of donor--acceptor pain determines the yield in general, while the yield decreases as the ED-4 interaction in the ground state increases in the case of donors with similar character_ l_ Introductior?
The photoexcitation of some CT complexes as well as exciplexes Ieads to the production of solvated donor cations and acceptor anions. This process is called ionic photodissociation, which is quite important for understanding photooxidation-reduction reactions and eneru dissipation processes of molecular awegates. Since we first demonstrated the dissociation from the excited 'CT state of the EDA complex stable in the ground state [l] , we
