## Abstract The preparation of the methyl, ethyl, __n__‐propyl, __iso__‐propyl, __n__‐butyl, __sec.__‐butyl, __iso__‐butyl, __n__‐amyl, __iso__‐amyl, __n__‐hexyl, (2‐methyl)‐amyl, __n__‐heptyl and (2‐ethyl)‐hexyl esters of 4‐hydroxybenzoic acid is described. Results are reported for the toxic acti
