Synopsis
A b s t r a c t . A velocity dependent effective potential of s-and p-wave interaction denoted by VG3 has been applied t o calculate the parameters of nuclear matter. Using this potential, the binding energy of a group of double closed shell nuclei is calculated according to the shell model. Also, the binding energy of lZC and l6O is calculated assuming Brinks model and using the VG2 interaction together with the potential deduced by Arickx et al. Reasonable agreement with experimental data is obtained.
1 n h a l t s i i b e r s i c h t .
