On the Possibility of Polytypism in Semistatistically Defected Wurtzite-type Crystals of CdS

The analysis of extraordinery reflections of X-ray pattern of CdS thin filtiis is presetited which indicates the existence of 22 H polytype. For the conditions that ere favourablc for polytypism a nrw dependence of Madelung constant on the crystal structurc is proliosccl. All of the results are consistent with the concept of senlistatistically drfectetl wurtzitc: crystal.
