The reaction of oxygen atoms with formaldehyde was studied. Oxygen atoms were produced by UV-laser photolysis of NO:, and CO2 reaction products were detected by time-resolved infrared diode laser absorption. Analysis of the data combined with numerical kinetic modeling indicate that CO\* is formed p
