✦ Synopsis
Experimental and theoretical studies of the role of angular momentum in the decay behavior of ' Bsu pyrazine show that the strong rotational state dependence has its origin in the breakdown of the bp = 0 (AK = ~1) selection rule for intersystem crossing. Some possible reasons for this are discussed.
