On the orbits of 5 Cancri, w Leonis and H I 39.

By Pi? Doberck.

The following three orbits were in the first instance investigated by aid of Sir John Herschel's firbt method. The observed angles 8, and distances Q, were separately projected on square-ruled paper. Interpolation curves were drawn and the angles were read off at intervals of five years. The distances were measured too roughly to allow the corresponding curves to be similarly constructed. The values of the distance were therefore obtained from the angles, projected on the diagram containing the measured distances, and curves drawn through the points. Little, if any use, has therefore been made of the measured distances in obtaining the following orbits. The elements were then t 1781
