β¦ Synopsis
The diffusioii-induced inhoinogeneity in the supersaturation o n close packed faces of KDP crystals, growing from aqueous solutions has been investigated. The iriterfcroiiietrically found values of the concentration differeiicc on the crystal edge and in the centre of the most closely packed face { loo} were compared with the theoretically expected conccntration nonhorriogeneities calculated by means of CHERNOV'S formula. The comparison has been perforrrred especially for the moment when the KDP crystals lose the stability of their polyhedral shape and gradually acquire a slrcletal form. A fairly good coincidence was found.
Die diffusionsbcdingte UbersdttigungsinhoniogenitIit auf den dicht gepackten Fltiiclien von atis waisrigon Liisungen wachsenden KDP-Kristallchen wurde untersucht. Der interferornetrisch bestimrnte Konzentrationsunterschicd auf den Kristallkanten und in dcr Mitte der dichtest gepacktrnFtachen { loo] wurde niit der theoretischen, nach der CHERNOVschen Gleichung gereclineten Konzentrationsinhoniogenitiit verglichen. Dieser Vergleicli wurtle besonders fur den kritischen Waclistumsniornent durcbgefuhrt, in weleher die KDP-KristBllchen die Stabilitat ihrer polyedrischen Form verlieren und denn allmahlich eine Skclettforni annehmen. Dabei wurde cine recht gute Ubereiristirrrn3,1Ilg gefunden.
