✦ Synopsis

A refit of the observed hyperfine Adoubhng spectrum of OH is presented using an expansion of the fine structure matrix elements in a power series up to the fïfth degrce in the rotational quantum nurnber L Almost alI observed transitions of the microwave spectrum of the OH molecule in the X *lI state could be predicted within their experimental inaccuracies. Rehable predictions for the non-observed transitions originating in the rotational states for J G 17/2 are also oresented.

The microwave spectrum of NiO in the 3E-electronic ground state has been observed using a source-modulated millimeter and submillimeter wave spectrometer. NiO was generated by dc-sputtering vaporization of powdered NiO. Rotational transitions of 5sNiO and 6°NiO in the vibronic ground state were meas
