β¦ Synopsis
The kinetics of the reaction between CeO and HCL in a gas stream simulating flue gas was studied in a differential fixed bed reactor. Attention was focused on the influence of certain parameters (exposure time, temperature and particle size). Temperatures in the range ZOO-6W"C and particLe sizes in the range 0.188-0.925 mm were investigated with exposure times up to 1200 s. The experimental results obtained were interpreted by means of the grain model. The kinetic constant and solid diffusivity were calculated at each temperature.
