โฆ Synopsis
A qualitative analysis of the influence of a first or pseudofirst order chemical reaction in the liquid phase for the absorption of gases of dierent solubility is presented. Quantitative estimates for the influence of the chemical reaction on the mass transfer kinetics, the distribution of the diffusive resistance between the phases and the presence of non-linear convective mass transfer effects. in the two phases are obtained. All results are valid for the diffusive boundary layer approximation.
